It was a night to remember on July 15, 2012 at club YOW Downtown Ottawa. Greenhouse New York & Pink Lips Entertainment got the party started, with JetCity’s own DJ T-Dot to start off the night with mixing of the hotest tracks, and DJ Whoo Kid finished it off by making it one of the hottest events of the summer. The Cap City Media Team was in the building, along with others including Toronto’s own Honey Cocaine.

Hip hop music’s heyday may be over.  With the demise of the traditional recording industry, rap music has fallen from the lucrative position it held at the end of the 90’s and beginning of the new millennium.  While elements such as the battle scene via King Of The Dot, social media, and old fashion grinding are tactics emerging artists use to get seen and heard to develop a following, nothing helps an artist like good quality music, enter City Fidelia.  The Ottawa based Emcee has been getting it in for a few years now, breaking into new venues and playlists.  His next live show is coming up in a matter of days.  I took some time out to link up and have a quick talk about his music and career. 

Ottawa was buzzing these last few weeks in anticipation of this year’s Bluesfest and if you ask around town, I’m sure anyone who attended will tell you, the wait was worth it. The CapCityHipHop Media Team was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to cover the events that were held this year after being granted exclusive media passes. Therefore, we were able to capture some of the excitement that went on through July 4th – 15th for our fans.
